just posting to test out my new icon that i totally stole from
tracied. except that it's totally not stealing if you've gotten permission first, right?
i'm taking the boys to the promenade because there's a little place for kids to play and i need cruz to play anywhere that isn't a park because i hate the park. ok, that's not completely true. i hate following cruz around the park while simultaneously holding/wearing caleb. when they can both run, it'll be all good.
carry on. nothing to see here.

i won an auction on ebay for an acoustic guitar. yes! i was super excited. i won the auction last wednesday and paid immediately. by friday i hadn't heard from the seller so i contacted her asking when the item would ship. she replied, saying she needed to buy a box for the guitar and as soon as it shipped she'd email back with the tracking number. so it's monday afternoon, and i still haven't heard back. i'm going to give her until wednesday, because i think that's reasonable, and i'll contact her again. but if nothing has happened by the end of the week, i think i'm going to complain via paypal. do you think that's harsh?
i've sold plenty of things on ebay and i always make sure to ship as soon as possible after my payment is received. if there's any potential hold up, i contact the buyer right away. generally, though, unless something is going to be super expensive to ship, i have it prepared to ship (box or whatever) beforehand so as soon as payment clears i can run to the post office. this particular buyer has sold hundreds of things and only has one negative comment (that was supposedly resolved) so i shouldn't be too worried. but i guess, because of the way i've done business, i expect everyone else to behave the same way. i don't know if i'm just being impatient...what do you think?

ergh. i'm trying to fix past entries, but for some reason the back date isn't working. i'm terribly sorry if you suddenly see entries from years ago show up as new. i'm trying to figure out what i'm doing wrong. :/

perhaps my favorite thing about the summer months is that farmer's markets open all over the area. just another thing that makes me, sometimes, want to consider moving to a warmer climate. anyway, this is a list of local farmer markets just for my reference:

hello from atlanta. i was thinking i might post from here, but
nived32 and i have been having entirely too much fun. i like that we're both old, married, and with child. well, actually, her child is 7 mos. old. but still. we've gone from acting a mess up while in college, to being old and married together.
and in reference to today (and i guess the last couple days), see
nived32's journal. hope everyone is doing well! i have a lot to catch up on when i get back home next week.

jill scott at the art institute may 9th? count me in. i wish employees got a discount, though. blah. then again, $25 is not a bad price at all. i'll most definitely be there.

a decade ago, i never thought i would be,
at 23, on the verge of
spontaneous combustion. woe-is-me. but i
guess that it comes with the territory; an
ominous landscape of
never ending calamity.
i need you to hear, i need you to see that i have
had all i can take and
exploding seems like a definite possibility
to me.
so pardon me while i burst into flames.
i've had enough of the world and it's people's mindless
games.
so pardon me while i burn and rise above the flame.
pardon me, pardon me...i'll never be the same
not 2 days ago, i was having a look in a book and i saw a picture of a
guy
fried up above his knees.
i said, "i can relate," cause lately i've been thinking of combustication
as a welcomed vacation from
the burdens of the planet earth.
like gravity, hypocrisy, and the perils of being in 3-d...
and thinking so much differently.
so pardon me while i burst into flames.
i've had enough of the world and it's people's mindless
games.
so pardon me while i burn and rise above the flame.
pardon me, pardon me...i'll never be the same
i miss you
to see you when i wake up
is a gift i didn't think could be real.
to know you feel the same as i do
is a 3-fold utopian dream.
you do something to me that i can't explain.
so would i be out of line if i said,
i miss you?
i see your picture, i smell your skin on the empty pillow next to mine.
you have only been gone 10 days, but already i'm wasting away
i know i'll see you again
whether far or soon.
but i need you to know that i care
and i miss you.
